Why is tea at 5 so popular ?

The tradition  originally began in France but and it was especially used in England. England "copied" the France tradition. Even though it is typical to think about English when you hear about tea ,It's not as common as it was before, it's more turistical habit than national now. There is a special room in Devon called "Tearoom" which are something like sweet shops. If you order tea you will get scones with jam and thick cream, or cakes. In the past century there was a proffesion called tea lady. Her job was to bring tea into offices and into other work places. This job began disappearing in late 20th century. Herb teas also became very popular lately, altough coffee is not very popular yet.
